Knits & Weaves.
Each String Theory scarf begins as yarn and is constructed using one of two techniques: knitting or weaving.
“Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is pulled through an existing loop.“
“Weaving is a method of fabric production where two distinct sets of yarns are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric.”
Sizes & Feel.
Our aim is to produce your favourite scarf – the one you wear most and hold onto for a very long time. For this reason we are invested in creating the best quality scarf we can. String Theory scarves feel as good as they look.
“Our Scarf and shawl sizes offer a range of wardrobe options. Looking for a dash of pattern or a bolder, versatile layer?”
“A top quality textile begins with only the best yarns. We meticulously sought out soft, long-wearing merino, cotton and alpaca and found these in Italy and Peru.”
